Katrina Lay
Katrina Lay is an Associate in the Building and Construction team.
Katrina has experience in both residential and commercial building and construction matters from contract advice for homeowners to resolving high-stake defects disputes. Katrina also has experience instructing across multiple jurisdictions from VCAT to the Federal Court of Australia for a range of civil and commercial litigation involving debt recovery, estate litigation and property disputes.
Katrina’s down-to-earth demeanour makes her easily approachable, and she excels at providing structured advice using simple language. With a holistic and pragmatic approach, she keeps her clients informed and updated at every stage of their journey.
Katrina holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Arts from Monash University and Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from Leo Cussen Centre for Law with her admission to practice in August 2021.
She also speaks Hakka and outside of work enjoys reformer pilates, reading and music.
