Congratulations to law students Simon Rohan-Jones from La Trobe University and Maeve Suter from Swinburne University who were our successful scholarship applicants.
Your applications were insightful into the needs of our commercial SME clients and we wish you and all the applicants the best of luck for your studies.
This scholarship is for those students who are experiencing financial hardship due to Coronavirus. It is for students who are currently studying law (LLB or JD) and are interested in practicing commercial and litigation law for SME businesses and individuals.
We are seeking to support students who have an interest in servicing commercial clients and want to cultivate an understanding of the commercial realities that SME client’s may face.
We are passionate about the legal advice we provide to this sector and are looking to support those students who are interested in this area of law and are facing some hardship themselves due to COVID-19.
We require a 250 word response from students as part of the application. It must cover details of your financial hardship, why you desire to work with a commercial law firm and identify the most important approach lawyers should take in providing SMEs with legal advice.
